The Queen of Fall Flowers

The Queen of Fall Flowers
The chrysanthemum, fondly known as “The Queen of Fall Flowers,” blooms with unique significance worldwide. In the U.S., it represents joy, optimism, and fidelity. But in Japan, it’s elevated even further—chrysanthemums are so revered that the Japanese emperor’s throne is called the “Chrysanthemum Throne,” and they even have a dedicated Chrysanthemum Day, or "Festival of Happiness," celebrated on September 9 🌙.

Across the world, this resilient flower takes on even more roles. In China, it’s one of the "Four Gentlemen of China," symbolizing the changing seasons and a refined spirit. Europe views chrysanthemums as flowers of mourning, often placed on graves to honor loved ones 🌹. In Australia, chrysanthemums shine bright for Mother’s Day—celebrated in May, when they bloom perfectly. The flower’s nickname, “mum,” has endeared it as a symbol of maternal love and resilience. 🌷

In November, chrysanthemums are celebrated as the birth flower, a fitting tribute to the fall season. Like chrysanthemums, we at Squeem embrace values of elegance, strength, and timeless beauty, a bouquet of inspiration for every season and chapter of life. 🌼
